it was for a long moment that she stood there, SILENT as the master explained his plan to bring HUMANS back to the castle, to have them remain here until he ultimately grew BORED of them && she was left to clean up the mess. && that atop of the fact that she DESPISED the creatures that lived on this abhorrence of a rock, atop of the fact that HE KNEW that she didn’t want them anywhere near her, anywhere near the castle. ❛ i don’t think it’s wise, master, ❜ && that was as CORDIAL as the domestic could phrase as such, for if she knew there was no F E A R of consequence, she would have told him exactly how she felt about the decision, but that, she knew would be a DANGEROUS play, a play that she couldn’t afford.
a delicate huff. ❛ oh, of course you don’t. ❜
the doctor crosses the room, gloved fingertips fumbling with his hulking plastic dispenser – the one he’s filled to the very brim with the finest wine in all the universe. a paper cup is lifted to painted lips, && the master sips daintily. why he bothers, honestly, to inform the domestic of his affairs remains ever a mystery, even to the furter himself. frank hesitates, teeth grazing the tip of his tongue, before he opts to crow at the woman some more. ❛ they, ❜ begins he, emerald eyes dark && vile, ❛ — ought to be frightened of us !they aren’t possibly bright enough to do us any harm. it’s perfectly wise, magenta, to taunt one’s prey before, ahem, digging in. i deserve a bit of fun, don’t you think ? ❜
❛ all i’m suggesting is –perhaps it would be good for all of us if we were to, i don’t know, make friends. after all, they’re humans ! we’ven’t got a thing to fear. ❜ but it’s all too obvious that socializing with earthlings is the very least of frank’s concerns ; he’s baffled by their arrant stupidity even when he isn’t in the presence of them. && when the master imagines a friend, he thinks merely of a body– to be experimented on, to be loved and then discarded. ❛ either way, it’s been much too quiet. we could,❜ a thoughtful lower lip protrudes. ❛ bring a handful or so of them back. oh, magenta, really. you might see one you like. ❜ he glances halfway at the domestic, simpering. he knows that’simpossible.
features sour before all traces of her PREVIOUS ANGER dissipates completely, oh, but only 'pon the surface does it vanish. for the slew of INSULTS only fuel her continually growing rage, her desire to rid this world, rid EVERY world of the wretched creature currently stood before her. alas, riff raff’s position, his status as general matters naught to the redhead, no. because before that, before he was a GENERAL, he was her brother, the only person whom mattered to her, the only person that ever would. she’d ALWAYS protected him, no matter the PUNISHMENT it brought 'pon to her, that wouldn’t change now, not before frank. however, his words drew her ATTENTION once more, emerald oculars drawing back to him, for the words, the THREAT alone was akin to an icy dagger through what remained of her heart. albeit, the WORST PART was knowing that he’d do it, not because they deserved it, no. but simply because he could. ‘ don’t .. ’ effectively cutting herself off 'fore she gave the furter any further AMMUNITION. he knew just how much her brother meant to her, what it would do should he take him away. so she stepped back, for his time would come && then the only DEATH would be that of his own, FREEDOM would be theirs once more.
billows of smoke are exhaled from the doctor’s nose, && it isn’t long, then, before he desires the comfort of his THRONE once again. royalty, he’s come to realize, is as exhausting as it is gratifying. but he doesn’t turn away, not just yet. eyes are jade && burning, BURNING with a cruel satisfaction. the domestic knows, she ought to know, of frank’s rage, fueled by madness and by the servants’ defiance, namely magenta’s defiance, among a vast many other things ; the prince is MERCILESS, he’s always been, && provocation would hardly be necessary in order for him to take BOTH of their lives. ‘ don’t ? ’ comes the scientist’s wicked lilt, ‘ you’re right, I WON’T. not tonight. perhaps, despite his dreadful thoughtlessness, your brother may still prove his worth to me. ’ && frank speaks only the truth, however DESPERATELY he longs to feel the cracking of the handyman’s bones, to feel the breath FORCED from the domestic’s lungs : tonight, he will not raise his hand. tonight, the servants may rest.
oh, there was a moment, albeit a BRIEF one, that magenta came to think that their NEW MASTER was to be SILENT && not bother her was further questions about their journey to earth, alas, LUCK had NEVER once been 'pon her side, that wasn’t going to CHANGE now. ‘ somewhere by the name of .. DENTON, master, ’ somewhere where they could remain INCONSPICUOUS 'pon the endeavour to earth, somewhere nobody would notice their ARRIVAL, nor their prolonged stay. ‘ it’s REMOTE enough, the earthlings won’t DISTURB, nor notice our presence. ’ a marginal RELIEF, for the last thing she wished to do was INTERACT with these DULL creatures, not if she didn’t have to. ‘ && within a short distance of a TRANSDUCER. ’ questions answered, she turned 'pon her heel, her attention returning to her brother whom stood at her side, hoping that was the END of frank’s inquiries, at least for the moment.
he hums, CONTENT with the woman’s answer, though more questions, an UNCOUNTABLE total of them, in fact, dance wildly behind ruby lips. the furter has never known the domestic, in all the years she’s served his mother, to be terribly merry, but even still her VEXATION is more than obvious. he spares a glance upon her brother, the man he’s deemed incredibly USELESS, and wryly does he smile. ‘ –denton ? ’ the two plain - sounding, very human syllables roll forth from the prince’s tongue, & he repeats it once more beneath his breath. ‘ excellent !oh, mother will be awfully PROUD. i’ll send her postcards aplenty. i just can’t wait to see a real earthling, they’re all so ugly&tasteless. ’ a pause. ‘ magenta. you’re certain they won’t DISRUPT us ? ’
she doesn’t FLINCH, doesn’t move 'pon his close step, for she doesn’t FEAR HIM. she’s never feared him, as much as she comes to BELIEVE that he thinks that she SHOULD. && perhaps her OUTBURST was ill timed, however it was WARRANTED, it was always warranted. ‘ a PITY it doesn’t, ’ SARCASM dripped from words befallen of CRIMSON stained lips, emerald oculars not once wavering from his own gaze as she spoke. albeit, it was 'pon the mention of the – BEATING – chastisement of her brother that triggered the domestic’s ANGER once more, the memory of tending to yet more injuries ever present within her mind. && even riff raff’s mantra of PATIENCE eluded her in that moment, for she didn’t care of patience, not now. ‘ chastisement?? you nearly KILLED HIM .. AGAIN. ’ there was little point in holding back now, she’d be PUNISHED either way, && as long as it was herself && not her brother, she had little quandary in ensuring frank knew exactly how she felt.
& the furter laughs in her face, at her FOLLY. ‘ oh, you idiot – the two of you are so TRAGICALLY similar. do you imagine that, maybe, this little TANTRUM will result in my APOLOGIZING to you, or perhaps to your wretched brother ? in my sudden tenderness ? you are terribly foolish, magenta ; but i do ADMIRE your courage. ’ he turns, then, an odious grin tugging at the corners of painted lips, & lazily does he light a cigarette, a silvery cloud hovering about black curls. ‘ WELL,i couldn’t possibly send him on his way with little more than a STRIKE upon his knuckles ! mm, but you forget – your brother is a GENERAL, he is more than capable of looking after himself. he barely bled, magenta, this i assure you. ’ gazing upon her from beneath thick lashes, & after exhaling a mouthful of smoke, he continues, quite forthrightly : ‘ i could kill him, you know. and you, too – for queen’s sake, you’ve both given me a MULTITUDE of reasons to …&& i know that taking riff raff’s life would, perhaps, be even more agonizing than a DAGGER through your HEART. ’
‘ oh, magenta, look at you. ’ one gloved hand, cold from the night air, rests upon the woman’s graceful shoulder ; the other clings to a chalice filled to the very brim with GOLDEN, sparkling liquid. the mad prince is smirking, bloodred lips glistening beneath the many celebratory LIGHTS that were so carefully mounted by the domestic’s ever - faithful brother. ‘ how charming, you’ve chosen to participate in the evening’s fesitivities ! mm, HOW CHARMING indeed. ’ of course, the furter knows all too well of magenta’s distaste for earthly holidays, && therefore has decided to taunt her. ‘ oh, what is it the earthlings do on nights like this one – ’ croons he, teeth grazing the tip of his tongue before he presses a KISS, no more than a second long, to the domestic’s cheek. ‘ i believe i owe riff raff one of those, too, wouldn’t you think ? ’
the domestic wasn’t in the utmost SURPRISED by his response, nor does she doesn’t step away when he rises from his throne, despite the fact that she KNEW that she should have held her tongue, not spoken ILL of the arrogant prince in his presence. but she was ANGRY, && she’d NEVER been good at CONCEALING it. && she knew her following words were going to garner her naught but PUNISHMENT, punishment in which she INSISTED she’d take in the place of her brother. ‘ perhaps, you should, master. ’ the final word slipped betwixt CRIMSON lips with nothing but CONTEMPT, emerald oculars holding naught but fury for the furter before her. ‘ because it doesn’t. ’
‘ –doesn’t it, ’ he all but GROWLS through clenched teeth. with each step the furter takes, drawing nearer & nearer to the rebellious little creature before him, his heels click and his cloak BILLOWSwith ominous promise, with the assurance that all is absolutely NOT WELL here. an unforgivable SIN has been committed && frank will be damned if he is to ignore such a thing. he halts mere inches before the domestic. ‘ in that case, magenta, it certainly OUGHT TO. ’ snarls he, for there isn’t a doubt in the scientist’s mind that his DESIRES should be the sole priority of the universe. ‘ tell me, then. what sucked out this little OUTBURST from you ? forgive me if i’ve mistaken, but i don’t suppose it has anything at all to do with thechastisement your dear brother, riff raff, received just yesterday evening. ’
she’d never WANTED to leave transexual, never wanted to be on this ship with the prince heading to earth, but she’d have been damned if she was going to allow her brother, her dearest brother to go ALONE. with him. for to be away from him for so long, so far away, well, it wasn’t something either were okay with. albeit, ‘pon his IMPATIENT question, magenta resisted the urge to roll her eyes, tongue holding back VEXED words. && whilst her brother was far more versed in the atmosphere, the galaxies beyond that of their own, she knew enough to know that they weren’t anywhere near their intended location. ’ no, master, ’ annoyance was kept from her HARSH tones, countenance feigning NONCHALANCE as she answered his query for a THIRD time since they’d left, knowing full well that it wouldn’t be the LAST. ’ it’ll be a while before we reach EARTH, ’ so perhaps IF he could spend the time not BOTHERING her, the journey would pass with all three of them arriving without any accidental casualties along the way.
the mad prince, only half - listening to the woman once she’d uttered the word no, HUFFS. ‘ that LOOKED like earth, didn’t it ? mother says it’s big &&quite blue. ’ delicate hands clasp together as the young furter SINKS into an open chair – he flinches, finding absolutely none of the comfort that comes with perching onself upon a THRONE ; no plush cushions swathed in fine velvet, just cold, stiff space metal. he hums before chirping on : ‘ i wonder – are EARTHLINGS truly as DIM as we assume ? i imagine they must be. how foolish, how wretched … oh ! magenta, there’s something else. i meant to ask it of you earlier, it slipped my mind, you see, ’ white teeth flash from behind ruby - painted lips as frank gazes upon the domestic once more, craning his slender neck. ‘ WHERE EXACTLY on earth are we to land ?surely, we ought to remain within reasonabledistance of a TRANSDUCER, wouldn’t you think ? ’
A METEOR, one that disappears into the stars nearly as quickly as it had shot by, leaves the young furter GASPING – he’s been in ships before, && he’s been outside the atmosphere of transsexual, of course, but never on a mission such a this one. the thought of EARTH has him rather anxious; ANXIOUS, but not frightened. ‘hum – oh, magenta ? ’ croons he, turning on his heel. emerald eyes flit from the ginger - haired woman to her gawkish brother, one foot tapping EAGERLY against the floor of the craft. ‘ how much longer – where are we, exactly ? that isn’t earth, is it ? ’

he can only STARE ; this is magenta, the domestic – why, HIS domestic ! the woman hasn’t any right to speak him this way, for they are not & never will be EQUALS. magenta is very much his inferior, frank feverishly reminds himself, gazing sourly upon ivory features, curtained by ill - kempt, ginger waves. the furter, SCOWLING, rises from the throne beneath him –
